Rob Douglas has testified about identity theft, identity crimes, cybercrime and fraud before the United States Congress on several occasions. Rob’s investigations and subsequent congressional testimonies have led to passage of numerous federal and state laws designed to protect consumer information from identity and information thieves along with other types of cybercriminals. Rob has served as a consultant to both the Federal Trade Commission and Congress during investigations of information brokers stealing and selling financial and telecommunications records. The FTC and congressional investigations resulted in the exposure and prosecution of numerous information thieves.
